Mission and Vision
Arda Institute is a think tank conducting independent research on international relations and security policy. Our aim is to assess current developments not by their news value but by their long-term consequences, and to offer decision-makers a structural framework.
Every text we publish is not an opinion piece but a study with an explicit method. The value of an analysis is measured less by the conclusion it reaches than by how verifiable the path to that conclusion is. This is why we clearly state, within each report, the sources we use, the assumptions we rely on, and the limits of our forecasts.
Our Vision
To contribute to establishing, in Türkiye, a tradition of policy analysis that is open to the public, transparent in method, and grounded in long-term thinking. To enable decision-makers and the interested public to read events not as isolated developments, but as a body of interconnected trends.
Analytical Methodology
Open-source basis
Every assessment rests on verifiable, publicly available sources. The data used and its limitations are stated explicitly within the report.
Declaration of assumptions
A forecast is only as sound as the assumptions it rests on. Our analyses separately address which conditions are taken as valid and how the conclusion would be affected if those conditions changed.
Scenario-based thinking
Rather than a single definitive prediction, multiple probability-weighted scenarios are presented. The aim is not to know the future, but to make it possible to be prepared for different possibilities.
Independence
The Institute has no affiliation with any political formation, institution or interest group. Published analyses reflect only their authors' assessment.
A long-term view
We focus on structural trends rather than the pace of the daily news cycle. Our priority is a development's long-term consequences, not its news value.
A record of error
Forecasts that do not materialize are not withdrawn. The reason for the miss is explicitly assessed in subsequent reports; this is the only way the method itself improves.
